چکیده
Extremes of climate and hypobaric hypoxia cause poor growth performance in broiler chickens at high altitude the present study investigates effect aqueous extract Salix alba leaves on performance, antioxidant level immune status reared cold desert (3500 m). High liquid chromatography (HPLC) analysis revealed presence salicin caffeic acid. In vitro efficacy evaluation that had a significant cytoprotective lymphocytes. For in-vivo study, total 105 one d old RIR cross-bred were randomly assigned to seven groups: 1) Control fed basal diet 2) Six treatments + S. @100, 150, 200, 300, 400, 800 mg kg−1 body weight chicken, respectively. Chickens 300 group greater (p < 0.05) improved feed conversion ratio (FCR) compared other treatments. Furthermore, capacity (TAC), free radical scavenging activity, interleukin-2, lower malondialdehyde (MDA), interleukin-1, interleukin-6 concentration as control group. Net profit was also increased all with due less mortality chickens. These findings indicated inclusion dose exhibited beneficial through immunomodulation up-regulation antioxidants, therefore, it has potential be used phytogenic additive for improving altitude.

Six hundred 1-d-old male broilers (Ross 308) were assigned to four experimental groups; each was composed of 5 floor pen replications of 30 birds including control (no enalapril), 15, 30 and 60 ppm enalapril in the drinking water. From d 21 to 49, all the chicks were exposed to low ambient temperature to induce ascites. Mortalities were inspected to determine the cause of death and diagnose of ...

Under high altitude conditions, the effects of vitamin E (α-tocopherol) on growth performance, intestinal morphology (villus size and type), and absorptive surface area of broiler chickens were evaluated. Chickens were fed diets supplemented with 0, 100, 200 or 400 IU/kg vitamin E for 42 days. On days 14, 28 and 42, birds were sacrificed and three segments of small intestine were dissected. The...

The present study investigated the interaction of stocking density and cool perch availability on broiler chickens raised at high ambient temperature (>30.8°C). Behavior, live performance, and the incidence of footpad and hock burns and abdominal plumage damage were investigated over a 4-wk experimental period. A total of 1,152 one-day-old Arbor Acres chicks were subjected to a 2 (cool perches)...

This experiment was conducted to evaluate the effects of supplemental L-arginine (ARG) in reduced-protein diets on cardiopulmonary performance and intestinal morphology in the broilers reared at high altitude. A total of 156 day-old male broilers were randomly assigned to 3 treatments and 4 replicates of 13 chicks and reared up to 42 days of age. Treatment groups were designed as a normal-prote...
